This project is to supply the always-growing population with water. We do not have enough clean water, but water makes up 71% of the Earth's surface. If there's so much water, why is there so little clean water? The answer is that 97% of the Earth's surface is salty. That means that we can't drink it, and only 3% is drinkable. But why? We researched, and we found out that heat is the answer to this problem. Heat will kill many microbes, and at the same time, evaporate the water. You might say,''I thought you were trying to clean the water, not evaporate it!'' But we did both at the same time. If we direct the steam, from the burning of the ocean water, into a container, wait for it to cool down, then it would be dis-infected water. But does it still have salt in it? Salt makes you more thirsty, taking out the effect of the water. So we found out that the salt stays while the water is evaporated. So two products come out of this machine, clean water, and salt!

We, as the world, are running behind on clean water supply. But instead of drinking the clean water, we waste it! It becomes sewer water, which no one wants.

Our project is to turn sewer water into clean and drinkable water by using the following machine.
